Eastern Machinery Ring Ltd (EMR) was formed on 1st August 2008 from the merger of two long established Rings in the Eastern Region; Norfolk and Waveney Machinery Ring based in Norfolk; and Eastern Agri-link based in Suffolk. EMR is a member owned co-operative created by farmers for farmers with over 800 members covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire with a predicted turnover of over £1.5m.

The function of the Ring is to spread members fixed costs either by hiring in services or equipment as required from other members or offering their own services or equipment to other members.

EMR offers over 300 services to members from the hire of a tractor to wood mizer work, digger hire, labour etc.

The Ring is run under the Industrial and Provident Society and acts as an agent and not as principal in all dealings with members and suppliers.
